WATCH | Thirty-four construction workers were killed in the collapse of a building in Western Cape

The multi-storey construction site at 75 Victoria Street, which was next to the George municipality offices, collapsed shortly after 14:00 on Monday.

Rescue efforts at the site concluded on Friday after a recovery operation that lasted 260 hours.Sixty-two people were extracted from the site, 28 of whom survived.
